HJ172

The new Junkkari HJ172 chipper is suitable for chipping trees less than 17 cm in diameter. It is mounted to the tractor's 3-point linkage and powered by the PTO shaft. It has a feeding angle of 45 degrees to the disc. The new infeed chute is longer, more open and the control of infeed is done by electric buttons. No-stress rotation guard comes as a standard. Junkkari HJ172 fulfills all requirements of the upcoming new chipper safety standard. 

The tractor driven HJ172 is available as G- and GT models.

The G-model is now always equipped with 2 horizontal feeding rollers. The rollers are powered by tractor´s hydraulics and their speed can be adjusted steplessly. The feeding rollers are important especially if you chip branches or other more complicated material.

HJ172GT is otherwise similar than G, but it has the own hydraulic unit and therefore needs only PTO-drive from the tractor. This is usefully for instance if chipper is used with several tractors and you don't want to mix oils between them.

The discs comes with four knifes which you can adjust continuously depending on the desired woodchip size. The blow wings will finalize the woodchips and blow the chips effectively to the desired location through an adjustable discharge chute.

The new infeed chute is now longer and more open. The front part is fixed but the rear part can be easily lifted for transport. The infeed is controlled by the electric buttons on both sides of the chute. No-stress rotation guard is a standard equipment and it makes operators work easy. It automatically stops the infeed if the tractor RPM drops, reverses the wood away from the disc and then continues feeding when the RPM returns to the working level. The yellow bar around the chute guarantees the user safety. It stops the infeed immediately if it is pushed for example by body parts.
