Finnish Embassy in Mozambique organized a business seminar in Mozambique last December. The seminar was meant to Finnish companies and during the seminar the Ministry of Trade and Commerce, local representatives of Investment Centre, Industrial Organization and lecturers for taxation, investment opportunities, banking and trade law gave lectures about the current and future situation of Mozambique.  There were three Finnish companies, who shared their experiences about the business environment in Mozambique. 

During the seminar, we met local companies, which could be our partners in the future. The contacts were preliminary but we continue with one company the discussions. Mozambique is government driven country and the financing is going through government organization and therefore the operation is slower and more bureaucratic than in Finland. There are no quick solutions but there are possibilities to make business in Mozambique.
